Our expert guides

Rodrigo - Receptionist

Group Coordinator

It's a pleasure to greet you again! I'm Rodrigo, your host on the island. I will be in charge of welcoming you personally upon your arrival in Cozumel; I'll walk you directly to your catamaran crew and remain at your complete disposal to answer any questions before you begin your adventure. My goal is for your only concern to be having a great time!

I have been in this role for nearly three years and have extensive experience answering our visitor's most frequent questions; I would be delighted to assist you

Here are the 3 most common questions, so you don't have any doubts left!

1. Why must the Natural Protected Area fee be paid in cash?

By official mandate, the payment for the CONANP bracelet must be in cash. As a company, we purchase these bracelets in advance, and the full amount is delivered to the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas for ecosystem conservation. Charging this through electronic means would create accounting confusion, as it is a federal fee and not company income

We accept both pesos and dollars in cash. Please note that we do not accept credit or debit cards for this specific fee

2. What's the difference between this catamaran tour and cheaper ones offered online?

Because of the high standards we offer, this is truly the best tour to experience El Cielo. What sets us apart is our attentive crew, the comfort of our catamaran, and our top-notch snorkeling equipment. We also visit Kuza, a top-tier beach club, where a full lunch and access to lounge chairs, pools, and slides are included. It's the perfect option if you're looking for a comfortable and exclusive experience

3. What happens if I get seasick?

As a twin-hull vessel, the catamaran offers superior stability, minimizing motion. Additionally, with its wide, open spaces, you can walk along the front deck and enjoy the sea breeze, ensuring a much more comfortable and relaxing experience

For those prone to seasickness, we recommend taking a Dramamine before boarding. The boat sways with the waves; it's not bad, but if you’re sensitive, it's a good idea

Travel Tips for the Week of March 12–18, 2026

The forecast looks excellent: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be perfectly sunny days. There is a chance of isolated showers for Thursday and Friday, but nothing to worry about! Remember, this is a water excursion and we'll end up wet anyway. The end of the week is looking simply spectacular

As for the wind, we'll have a light breeze that won't affect the navigation or the experience at all. Generally speaking, it's an excellent week with very favorable conditions to enjoy the activity

Why choose a catamaran?

Spacious, comfortable catamaran with onboard restrooms

Unlike conventional boats, its twin-hull system offers superior stability and much more spacious deck areas for your comfort

Exploring Cozumel aboard one of our catamarans is the most authentic way to experience the Mexican Caribbean. This experience is designed for those seeking comfort, fun, and the best views of our crystal-clear waters. An adventure that stays with you forever!

Advantages of a Catamaran

  • Spaciousness and stability: Our vessels are spacious and, thanks to their design, offer a much more stable and comfortable sailing experience
  • Onboard Restroom: We have a private restroom for your total comfort throughout the tour
  • Freedom of movement: The ideal space to walk, dance, or capture the best photos from any angle of the boat
  • Atmosphere and flavor: Enjoy music and a selection of refreshing drinks during the entire journey
  • Easy water access: Equipped with ladders designed to make getting in and out of the water simple and safe for everyone

Suggestions

Caution: When going down to the restroom area, please use the handrails and proceed with care. The steps may be wet or slippery. Your safety is our priority!

For your safety, we recommend not running on the catamaran and always keeping one hand on the railing while moving around. Remember that the movement of the sea or waves can be unpredictable and cause the boat to shift

Places to visit

We visit the island's most iconic spots: the stunning Colombia Reef, the famous El Cielo sandbar, and El Cielito. Furthermore, we wrap up the experience in style at KUZA Beach Park, one of Cozumel's most complete and exclusive beach clubs

Snorkeling at Colombia Reef

Enjoying the ocean breeze

Our vessel is safe and spacious. There are 4 to 5 crew members on board who, while making sure you have fun, take safety very seriously. It is an excellent introduction to underwater exploration and is especially helpful for those with no prior experience in water activities

If you're a bit worried about snorkeling at first, don't be! The boat is well-staffed, and the crew will be in the water with you to make sure no one wanders too far. The staff will ensure that everyone stays safe

The snorkeling spot is incredible, and the water is some of the clearest you've ever seen. You'll see tropical fish and massive coral formations

The reef is fascinating

El Cielo (Starfish sanctuary)

Estrellas de mar

The water here is warm and crystal-clear, dotted with starfish like precious gemstones

I can't even explain how beautiful the color of the water is, and the number of starfish you can see is truly spectacular. El Cielo is definitely the best snorkeling spot in Cozumel!

El Cielito (Shallow Waters & Sandbar)

A natural, white-sand swimming pool located at the southern end of the island

El Cielito really feels like paradise and is perfect for all ages, from the little ones to the grandparents!

El Cielito / Shallow water is so relaxing and the water is crystal clear. The depth ranges from thigh-high to neck-deep. Stingrays sometimes swim by, but they don't bother anyone. I highly recommend taking a snorkeling tour that ends at El Cielo. It's fantastic! There are also many beautiful starfish! If you're looking to de-stress and forget all your worries, this is the place to go!

The stingrays feel almost domesticated as they glide past. The sand is white and powdery beneath the bright sun. It's such a fun spot, with music drifting from the boats while people hang out in knee-deep water with a cold beer or a soft drink in hand

El Cielo in Cozumel is a dream destination in the Caribbean. It’s hard to believe so many shades of blue can be found in just one spot!

Kuza Beach Club

Spectacular white-sand beach club

Choosing Kuza is the best move! It's the perfect mix of luxury, fun, and culture in an exclusive setting away from the crowds. Relax in our lazy river, take on the most thrilling slides in Cozumel, and enjoy authentic Mexican flavors seaside. It's the ultimate destination for anyone looking for spotless facilities, world-class service, and total comfort

At our beach club, we will welcome you at a spectacular oceanfront 'palapa' where the restaurant is located. For your convenience, you can choose from 4 delicious meal options, all prepared fresh to order

  • Battered Fish Tacos (order of 3)
  • Chicken Fajitas sautéed with seasonal vegetables
  • Beef Fajitas (cooked to perfection)
  • Vegetarian Tacos with fresh seasonal ingredients

  • Visit to El Cielo Beach (El Cielito sandbar)
  • Visit to KUZA Beach Club

Book in advance

This excursion is very popular and almost always sells out days in advance. For this particular tour, it is important to plan ahead and book early so that lack of availability doesn't become an obstacle to your plans

Commitment to ecosystem conservation

As a 100% responsible company, our priority is to protect this ecosystem. The natural area we visit is extremely delicate; therefore, we have two fundamental restrictions in place to guarantee its preservation:

  1. To protect the health of the reef, the use of sunscreen and lotions is strictly prohibited, as their chemicals damage and weaken the coral. For sun protection, the ideal and most effective option is to wear a long-sleeved rash guard
  2. ⭐ Protect our starfish: Please remember that touching them or taking them out of the water is not allowed. They are very delicate creatures, and human contact (or exposure to air) causes them great harm. You can take amazing photos from the water without putting them at risk!

What's not included

Unfortunately, there are a few things that are not included, as they depend on each guest's individual budget

  • Protected Natural Area Tax ($225 pesos / $13 USD per person – Cash payment only)
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Photos
  • Gratuities (Tips)

What to bring

These are the most common items you should bring on the excursion. Sun protection is the most important, and since this is a water activity, a towel and a swimsuit are highly recommended

  • Cell phone
  • Light clothing
  • Sandals or water shoes
  • Sun hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Long-sleeve dry-fit shirt for sun protection
  • Extra cash

Payment methods

For this excursion, if the group is larger than 4 people, a deposit is required to guarantee your reservation. The remaining balance can be paid upon your arrival in Cozumel or at the meeting point in the Playa del Carmen terminal

We accept the most common payment methods. Please note that some payments must be made in advance to ensure the funds are cleared in our bank accounts

"What a great time is a catamaran ride from the ferry peer to near the southern tip of the island and back. Snorkel on a reef, wait service at el cielo with the star fish and then drinks on the boat. Lunch and open bar at Playa Mia Grand with access to inflatable jungle gym, beach, pools, and slides capped off a great day. Unbelievable value. What a blast and I feel like we tasted some of the best that Cozumel has to offer"

"We went there as a part of a day tour to Cozumel and Cielo, I can tell you that its a bunch of fun and the place is super family friendly, my small 3 and 5-year-old kids had a blast. No sargassum on the beach"

"The crew of the vessel very nice and service excellent/ everything perfect weather was nice a bit choppy when we got to Reef things sorta got a bit out of hand lots of new people very young and old to snorkeling. Several people required assistance which the dive masters got buoys to and back to vessel. This bunched up everybody people kicked in faces etc. We were advised to follow the red flag dive master which when assisting other divers bunched up the rest and there were a lot of people guessing 40 or more in the water .Perhaps they should divide the groups into 3 groups 1 for experienced snorkeling 2 for less experienced 3 for new divers/ and have a safety diver to get people with difficulties back to vessel. I personally will look for a smaller group to do my next snorkel"

"We booked a package through our hotel in Playa del Carmen which included transport to Cozumel, a catamaran trip to a snorkel area and a beautiful beach (cielo?) a trip to Playa Mia and return transfer back to Playa del Carmen. The catamaran staff were friendly and helpful, and the beach was absolutely breath taking. The snorkelling wasn't much - not a lot of fish - but still well organized. When we arrived at the Playa Mia Park we had just about 2 hrs to eat and play - so not a huge amount of time"
